When Sven de Zwaan fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentinos Juniors's protests and gave Sven de Zwaan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Sven de Zwaan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zeng Ting Xing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Nazario having to interfere. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
