Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Soares in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Cisquella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zak Beckford's late challenge caught a Fc Benefica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zak Beckford helped the player get up and apologised. Leandro Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Cisquella having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mitchel Dijkstra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasey Bond in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd play minute Leandro Soares came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcial Cisquella. 0-2. The supporters of The Handsome Wizards UTD booed when Fc Benefica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pepe Guardiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes Fc Benefica got a freekick which was hit by Pepe Guardiola. In the 68th match minute, The Handsome Wizards UTD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alistair Cross to maneuver through the defense. Fc Benefica's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
