If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Noia's Manole Creangă got a free kick in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Silviu Miclea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Silviu Miclea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Silviu Miclea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 22nd minute of play forced Noia's goalkeeper Geovani Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Noia's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Velloso came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Villegas in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silviu Miclea to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Tomas Illescas made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Noia's Geovani Velloso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
