Cido Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Pinho in the 15th minute of the match. MONTANHA's Sílvio Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Gabriel Damião in the 17th minute of play. MONTANHA's Sílvio Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save MONTANHA from getting a goal against them. After 23 played minutes Facopo FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Nogueira. Evaristo Salles's late challenge caught a MONTANHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Salles helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Facopo FBPA's Evaristo Salles got a free kick in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Lara during the 30th minute. The MONTANHA fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when MONTANHA's Valdomiro Valladares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Cido Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. MONTANHA played a much better game than Facopo FBPA and deserved their victory. The Facopo FBPA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
