An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro de Castro in the 5th minute of play forced Flamengo CIMZ's goalkeeper Tarcisio Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave A A Arizona a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mauro Rodrigues, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Flamengo CIMZ's Tarcisio Tasso. 0-1. Rodolfo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber dos Santos in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Simão Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Flamengo CIMZ getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Wilton Freitas hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, A A Arizona's Vágner Pitta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tarcisio Tasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 27th match minute, Flamengo CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Flamengo CIMZ's Tarcisio Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Pitta in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Simão Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Flamengo CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Sena came free, but Tarcisio Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Flamengo CIMZ defense, Álvaro de Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcisio Tasso. The Flamengo CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Tasso should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The wind increased when Vágner Pitta made the kick off in the second half. Frédson Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, A A Arizona's Tarcisio Tasso threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vágner Pitta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pedro Luís Bertassi hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Álvaro de Castro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tarcisio Tasso. Álvaro de Castro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Rodolfo Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Flamengo CIMZ's goalkeeper Tarcisio Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vágner Pitta. Vágner Pitta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tarcisio Tasso came out and tried to block the shot, but Vágner Pitta slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 65th minute. Pedro Luís Bertassi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Tarcisio Tasso made a huge save. Vágner Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Tasso having to interfere. Cido Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Tarcisio Tasso made a huge save. In the 76th of the match, Vágner Pitta tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Tarcisio Tasso got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 78th play minute Pedro Luís Bertassi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tarcisio Tasso. 0-9. Tarcisio Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simão Sena in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Luís Bertassi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tarcisio Tasso. That made the score 0-10 in the 85 minute of play. Tarcisio Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro de Castro in the 89th minute of the match. Wilton Freitas's late challenge caught a A A Arizona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilton Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Tarcisio Tasso went to the wrong direction when Mauro Rodrigues was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Chicão Freire struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Tarcisio Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A A Arizona. In the 95th minute, Vágner Pitta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A A Arizona played a much better game than Flamengo CIMZ and deserved their victory. The Flamengo CIMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
