The referee ignored A A Arizona's protests and gave Dráusio de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to A A Arizona getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Dráusio de Salles hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Valério Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simão Sena. A A Arizona's Rodolfo Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Correia in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner Pitta in the 19th minute of play forced Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Valério Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valério Monteiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vágner Pitta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Valério Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Freire in the 23rd minute of the match. A A Arizona were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Agroboys SM - CIMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Rodrigues took the corner. Valério Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Jardel Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rodolfo Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliézer Araújo's late challenge caught a A A Arizona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Simão Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
