With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walter Kannemann kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Grêmio RK75's Benjamin de Barros got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 24 minutes, Paulo Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio RK75 and the Agroboys SM - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Paulo Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Agroboys SM - CIMZ's zone, Paulo Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério Monteiro came out of the goal and Paulo Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Grêmio RK75 getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Váldson Botelho hit a great ball. Bebeto Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Correia in the 41st minute of play. Sidnei de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Monteiro having to interfere. Paulo Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Grêmio RK75 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Nunes to make the kick off. In the 59th match minute, Grêmio RK75 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Kannemann to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Nunes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 64th playminute. The supporters of Agroboys SM - CIMZ booed when Grêmio RK75 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Paulo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Valério Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
