Nestor Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Nestor Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robinho Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GRÊMIO! Paulo José França shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Nestor Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber dos Santos in the 15th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Frédson Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Sampaio was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The Flamengo CIMZ fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Flamengo CIMZ's Frédson Couto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Frédson Couto scored 1-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Sampaio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Germano de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tarcisio Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Leme in the 25th minute. Nestor Sampaio came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo CIMZ's Frédson Couto. But to his dismay, Frédson Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 30 minutes into the match, Dráuzio Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Sampaio. GRÊMIO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dráuzio Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Nestor Sampaio came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo CIMZ's Robinho Silveira. But to his dismay, Robinho Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Artur Cunha hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Nestor Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber dos Santos in the 40th minute of play. Nestor Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber dos Santos in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Flamengo CIMZ were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Flamengo CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Cunha came free, but Tarcisio Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guto Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Tasso having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Flamengo CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Linares came free, but Tarcisio Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Artur Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GRÊMIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Fernando Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gláuber dos Santos got free with Nestor Sampaio in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Flamengo CIMZ's Frédson Couto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. Guto Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Fernando Leme hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the GRÊMIO defense, Robinho Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Sampaio. The GRÊMIO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Sampaio should have stopped the shot. Flamengo CIMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
