Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zikoranachidimma Bischhoffshausen in the 11th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zikoranachidimma Bischhoffshausen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Panait Oprea to strike the kick off in the second half. Zikoranachidimma Bischhoffshausen struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Zikoranachidimma Bischhoffshausen sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera.
