Igor Tudor hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Saronida FC's Laurențiu Susara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Bomba in the 8th minute of play. Miguel Poças made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Stefanos Rigopoulos sent off a good shot on target. Laurențiu Susara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Bomba in the 12th minute of play. José Bomba struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Laurențiu Susara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Paços de Ferreira. Miguel Poças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefanos Rigopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With an all-out effort, Saronida FC's Miguel Poças threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Veniamin Zisimopoulos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Saronida FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stefanos Rigopoulos in the 21st minute. Karl-Heinz Schneider did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Miguel Poças 25 minutes into the match. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Paços de Ferreira from getting a goal against them. Egil Siöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Isidoros Karastathis hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Veniamin Zisimopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Miguel Poças made a huge save. In the 37th minute Karl-Heinz Schneider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Veniamin Zisimopoulos took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Poças. Miguel Poças dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl-Heinz Schneider kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Miguel Poças. That made the score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. Igor Tudor hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Stefanos Rigopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Bomba made a kick off. Aimilios Trigonakis got a throw-in 55 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Egil Siöberg. With a little luck, Saronida FC's Laurențiu Susara got control of the ball when Inácio Secco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laurențiu Susara. Laurențiu Susara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Saronida FC's Jonas Pacheco was substituted for Eleftherios Vasdekis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Heinz Schneider in the 66th minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurențiu Susara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Bomba in the 68th minute of the match. Miguel Poças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veniamin Zisimopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Heinz Schneider in the 80th minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Huang Tian Yun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karmel Gian hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Igor Tudor was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When José Bomba came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the F.C. Paços de Ferreira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Bomba couldn't finish the play. Saronida FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of F.C. Paços de Ferreira for a fine match.
