Prime Hock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Jo-Wilfried Schouten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 12 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luis Andino. Jo-Wilfried Schouten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Lorenzo Beckman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Prime Hock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lorenzo Beckman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Jo-Wilfried Schouten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jo-Wilfried Schouten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Prime Hock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prime Hock in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Dragons AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Lorenzo Beckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jo-Wilfried Schouten in the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jo-Wilfried Schouten made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Prime Hock came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Lorenzo Beckman in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lorenzo Beckman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lorenzo Beckman could save by the left post. Prime Hock struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragons AFC. Dragons AFC made a substitution. Valentin Elorri replaced Nicasio Gomesano. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prime Hock, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prime Hock in the 82nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jo-Wilfried Schouten came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prime Hock in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Dragons AFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
