The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Zacarias Errolan fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LOS HUITOS's protests and gave Zacarias Errolan a yellow card for diving instead. Zacarias Errolan hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Enzo Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodosio Javiero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Vie in the 16th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Jonathan Vie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsnes and the LOS HUITOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Vie to maneuver through the defense. Kenneth Leidland hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Enzo Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sturle Åsland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Javiero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kristian Sandersen went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Åsnes's Sturle Åsland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Åsnes from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Åsnes booed when LOS HUITOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Errolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. LOS HUITOS's Teodosio Javiero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Vie in the 35th minute of play. During the 36th minute of the match Jonathan Vie completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jonathan Vie a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Sandersen in the 43rd minute of play forced LOS HUITOS's goalkeeper Teodosio Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristian Sandersen scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Javiero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Åsnes were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enzo Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Bruno Mitxaut was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOS HUITOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åsnes the free kick. Oddbjørn Kolberg hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Sturle Åsland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Abreu in the 60th minute of the match. When Halvor Dokken fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åsnes's protests and gave Halvor Dokken a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Halvor Dokken. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Xabel in the 77th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Sturle Åsland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Hugo Xabel made a precise shot to the right of Sturle Åsland. Åsnes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. A collision led to LOS HUITOS getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ezequiel Senon hit a great ball. After 92 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Halvor Dokken. Bruno Mitxaut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sturle Åsland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
