After taking down the ball on União dos 7 FC's corner Leopoldo Paranaense fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rubinho Couto quite easily take care of the ball. União dos 7 FC were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Leões do Sul 53's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leopoldo Paranaense took the corner. União dos 7 FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leopoldo Paranaense in the 42nd minute. The corner led União dos 7 FC's Luís Gustavo Monteiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Rubinho Couto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alfredo Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Couto having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Borges was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Pernambucano in the 54th minute of play forced União dos 7 FC's goalkeeper Anísio Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naci Cabezon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rubinho Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Rubinho Couto made a huge save. Rubinho Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naci Cabezon in the 59th minute of the match. Naci Cabezon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rubinho Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. União dos 7 FC's Anísio Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Brodel in the 68th minute of play. Rubinho Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Hoffmann in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Attilio La Penna notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Leões do Sul 53's Rubinho Couto. Rubinho Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when União dos 7 FC's Berke Topçam in the 89th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rubinho Couto was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Leões do Sul 53 through an amazing save. After 92 minutes of play Leões do Sul 53's Joaquim Pernambucano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Attilio La Penna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rubinho Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
