Jan-Aage Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton Sarmento in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Vito Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Aage Eklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Elivélton Sarmento fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leões do Sul 53's protests and gave Elivélton Sarmento a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Leões do Sul 53 getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Elivélton Sarmento hit a great ball. Elivélton Sarmento got in the 21st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jan-Aage Eklund handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After some careless play in the Flogo FF defense, Joaquim Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Aage Eklund. The Flogo FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Aage Eklund should have stopped the shot. Joaquim Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Aage Eklund having to interfere. Egídio Reis made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Svend Havn sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Svend Havn could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Egídio Reis however easily saved by the left post. If Marius Moldskred had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Ørjan Moen came free, but Egídio Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egídio Reis made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Svend Havn sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svend Havn was the one to do the kick off. Ørjan Moen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Egídio Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Svend Havn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ørjan Moen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egídio Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Jan-Aage Eklund was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Joaquim Pernambucano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joaquim Pernambucano really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Elivélton Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leões do Sul 53's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elivélton Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ådne Roald's late challenge caught a Leões do Sul 53's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ådne Roald helped the player get up and apologised. Ådne Roald kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Pernambucano in the 87th minute of play forced Flogo FF's goalkeeper Jan-Aage Eklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Butt hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Svend Havn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flogo FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Svend Havn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egídio Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ørjan Moen went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Flogo FF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
