With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Borges in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christer Waaler saved Åsnes from getting behind. União dos 7 FC's Vágner de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Kenneth Leidland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Borges in the 9th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Vágner Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christer Waaler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Christer Waaler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Valerón, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 31st minute of the match, Jon-Egil Gjelsvik got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anísio Aparecido was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. União dos 7 FC were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Åsnes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gildo Silva took the corner. The corner led União dos 7 FC's Gildo Silva to fire away a dangerous shot which Christer Waaler despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 38th minute, Vágner Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anísio Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Sandersen in the 40th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

União dos 7 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åsnes the free kick. After 92 minutes, Dan Ødegaard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsnes and the União dos 7 FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Ødegaard to maneuver through the defense. União dos 7 FC's Anísio Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Vie in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute Vágner de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Åsnes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. União dos 7 FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
