An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Eneko Sobrado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aquilino Palben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Celso Rivas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Florentino Weterio, 1-0. Silban Mudarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Berto in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Enrique Palencia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silban Mudarra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Berto's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute Eneko Sobrado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Weterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eneko Sobrado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Florentino Weterio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Berto in the 39th minute of play forced Nelsonteam's goalkeeper Silban Mudarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Patricio Natanael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silban Mudarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 45 minutes on the clock, Santo Goito commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in LOS HUITOS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Dan Engström shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquilino Palben couldn't finish the play. After 68 minutes, Gaspar Berto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LOS HUITOS and the Nelsonteam players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Nelsonteam booed when LOS HUITOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Berto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cresenciano Moya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Nelsonteam's zone, Aquilino Palben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
