Leones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Casado Arambula was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naike Abalos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oriol Loyola in the 23rd minute of play forced La Mandarina Mecánica's goalkeeper Naike Abalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naike Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oriol Loyola in the 24th minute of play. Naike Abalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oriol Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naike Abalos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oriol Loyola's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The supporters of La Mandarina Mecánica booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frances Muelas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Naike Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepillo Servin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Leones FC's Teofilio Lorca was substituted for Oriol Loyola. The wind increased when Pepillo Servin made the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Villamarin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Colas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Mandarina Mecánica were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Leones FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elias Leimann took the corner. In the 60th minute, Teofilio Lorca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Naike Abalos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos got control of the ball when Teofilio Lorca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leones FC's Alfonso Villamarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Colas in the 67th minute of play. Naike Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilio Lorca, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Lucas-James Langoni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonso Villamarin having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas-James Langoni came free, but Alfonso Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the La Mandarina Mecánica defense, Teofilio Lorca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naike Abalos. The La Mandarina Mecánica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naike Abalos should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Lucas-James Langoni notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Leones FC's Alfonso Villamarin. Alfonso Villamarin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 2-2. Extra-time would have to be played.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. La Mandarina Mecánica's Lucas-James Langoni started the play with the initial kick off. In the 102nd minute Aloisio Munet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naike Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 107 minutes into the match, La Mandarina Mecánica's goal looked a bit too open when Aloisio Munet came free, but Naike Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in La Mandarina Mecánica's zone, Liu Feng Zhen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naike Abalos came out of the goal and Liu Feng Zhen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilio Lorca in the 113th minute of play. The La Mandarina Mecánica players wondered just what they needed to do win this one. 105 minutes had now been played and the teams were still tied. Penalties were starting to look likely.

Everyone could clearly see that both Leones FC's and La Mandarina Mecánica's players was becoming tired in their legs when Leones FC's Aloisio Munet did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. 124 minutes into the match, Teofilio Lorca notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos. Naike Abalos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
