The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mané Aguado came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Aguado couldn't finish the play. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xorxe Soldado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Borel in the 17th minute of play. Dexter Morgan VR46's Beppe Pozzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frodo Alabern in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Borel in the 22nd minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Xorxe Soldado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Fábio Cartagena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xorxe Soldado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Borel in the 26th minute of play. Flavio Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xorxe Soldado having to interfere. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xorxe Soldado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Borel in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO booed when Dexter Morgan VR46 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Bobbio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Borel came free, but Xorxe Soldado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Dexter Morgan VR46's goal looked a bit too open when Frodo Alabern came free, but Beppe Pozzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvaro Borel to make the kick off. A collision led to Dexter Morgan VR46 getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Fortunato Brandolini hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's zone, Alvaro Borel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xorxe Soldado came out of the goal and Alvaro Borel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Flavio Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xorxe Soldado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Flavio Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Borel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Xorxe Soldado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Dave Spinosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Rafa Llorca was substituted for Mané Aguado. After 85 played minutes Dexter Morgan VR46 got a freekick which was hit by Dave Spinosa. 91 minutes into the match, Dexter Morgan VR46's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Molina came free, but Beppe Pozzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Luis Molina fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's protests and gave Luis Molina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Luis Molina hit a great ball.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dexter Morgan VR46 fully deserved thier win.
