With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jessica Xerifão kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Richard Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Jessica Xerifão managed to, on his own, get straight through Panama's defense and in the 47th minute placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfred Chmelyk to make the kick off. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Dylan Sarmiento a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sumaré Sport Club booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Severo Gomesano notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Fontes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sumaré Sport Club's Zé Trigo got a free kick in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sumaré Sport Club.
