But to his dismay, Carlos Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tato Vega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertinho Andrade got free with Ronaldo Giovanelli in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Santana in the 23rd minute of play forced Que se abra o mar's goalkeeper Sandro Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Giovanelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lando Norin in the 27th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto de Souza to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Santana came free, but Sandro Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Renato Saraiva to make the kick off. Sandro Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Lara in the 53rd minute of play. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Andrade in the 59th minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Mangueira hit a great ball. After 87 minutes of play, Que se abra o mar's Lando Norin made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldo Giovanelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Van Elsen in the 93rd minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Giovanelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lando Norin in the 94th minute of play. The Galo do Japi players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Que se abra o mar from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
