The referee ignored Mosqueteiros 4EVER's protests and gave Virgílio Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Millano Almandoz to strike the kick off in the second half. Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Hugo de Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Mosqueteiros 4EVER from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Galo do Japi getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ahmet Demir hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Ahmet Demir got a free kick in the 61st minute. Cafu Ringaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hugo de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Saraiva in the 69th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Galo do Japi's corner Cafu Ringaa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugo de Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. 74 minutes in the game, Paulo Renato Saraiva dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Paulo Renato Saraiva took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo de Amorim. Hugo de Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. After 80 minutes, Paulo Renato Saraiva made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Hugo de Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 83rd minute, Carlos Santana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo de Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mosqueteiros 4EVER's goalkeeper Hugo de Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Millano Almandoz came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Mosqueteiros 4EVER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Millano Almandoz couldn't finish the play. Galo do Japi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
