Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Implant de Ego ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Omiros Kaloumenos came free, but Florin Feroiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sheriff's Manos Melogiannis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Bojonca in the 14th minute of play. Sheriff's Manos Melogiannis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Sheriff from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giorgos Samoladas during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Giorgos Samoladas hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sheriff getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alexandros Vikelidis hit a great ball. Florin Feroiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Kapopoulos in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omiros Kaloumenos in the 42nd minute of play forced Implant de Ego ™'s goalkeeper Florin Feroiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sakis Panagoulis charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sakis Panagoulis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, Sheriff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakis Panagoulis to maneuver through the defense. Florin Feroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Kapopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Florin Feroiu was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Omiros Kaloumenos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Omiros Kaloumenos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Manos Melogiannis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Bojonca in the 55th minute of play. Florin Feroiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Kapopoulos in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Implant de Ego ™'s goalkeeper Florin Feroiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omiros Kaloumenos. In the 61st match minute, Sheriff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Kabitsis to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the game, Implant de Ego ™'s Ilie Bojonca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manos Melogiannis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 67 played minutes Implant de Ego ™ got a freekick which was hit by Cătălin Şchiopu. A collision led to Sheriff getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Alexandros Vikelidis hit a great ball. If Ilie Bojonca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sheriff's Dimitris Kabitsis got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Implant de Ego ™'s goalkeeper Florin Feroiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manole Lazăr during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute, Manole Lazăr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omiros Kaloumenos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Florin Feroiu came out and tried to block the shot, but Omiros Kaloumenos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sheriff's Omiros Kaloumenos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Florin Feroiu. That made the score 1-4 after 86 minutes of play.
Sheriff's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
