Rodrigo Cugat scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Araoz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 17 minutes of play, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Abelardo Belarmo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Araoz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute, Abelardo Belarmo made a precise shot to the right of Christian Araoz. HFA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Christian Araoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Cugat in the 43rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Alberto Abeita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcos Santiago hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When Felipe Ostadar fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HFA FC's protests and gave Felipe Ostadar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ booed when HFA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ostadar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Araoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Belarmo in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Virgilio Astigar made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Ignacio Afonso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ and the HFA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Ignacio Afonso got a free kick in the 51st minute.
