Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nemesio Sol took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Nemesio Sol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kauno Pirnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Hidrocarburo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Luis Andino, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 15 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kauno Pirnes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Nicodim Mangra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hidrocarburo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicodim Mangra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nemesio Sol came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Hidrocarburo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Sol couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Hidrocarburo FC's Kauno Pirnes got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Hidrocarburo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Kauno Pirnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Mangra in the 81st minute of play. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Nemesio Sol sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Nicodim Mangra might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicodim Mangra ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, Hidrocarburo FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
