In the 33rd minute, Ted Borker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes, Fokke Reitsma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ágætis Byrjun and the FK Amur players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FK Amur booed when Ágætis Byrjun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fokke Reitsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maraman Reitsma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Romanchenko in the 36th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matvey Lityagov was the one to do the kick off. Timur Savin charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timur Savin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
