Firmin Hurones took the corner. The corner ended in Firmin Hurones almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maraponga FAC's Jardel Falcão did a great save. Marko Valmayor charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marko Valmayor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Maraponga FAC a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Paulo Toledo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Sandalio Domingo. 0-1. Tibalt Tanasio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jardel Falcão made a huge save. Tibalt Tanasio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jardel Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 30th minute, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Tibalt Tanasio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. With a little luck, Maraponga FAC's Jardel Falcão got control of the ball when Tibalt Tanasio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sandalio Domingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Simões in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Tróia in the 44th minute of play forced ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's goalkeeper Sandalio Domingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Maraponga FAC's zone, Tibalt Tanasio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Falcão came out of the goal and Tibalt Tanasio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 56 played minutes Maraponga FAC got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Cruz. When Magno Dante fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maraponga FAC's protests and gave Magno Dante a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Magno Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Pastor Gonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pastor Gonta in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jardel Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ibar Revuelta hit a great ball. A hard shot by Norberto Matos from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Sandalio Domingo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Beltza Galnares got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Maraponga FAC's Jardel Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibalt Tanasio in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Gonta to maneuver through the defense. Maraponga FAC's Norberto Matos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sandalio Domingo but with some difficulty. Neither ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ or Maraponga FAC succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

In the 105th minute Norberto Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandalio Domingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandalio Domingo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 108th minute. Téo Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 110th minute of the match. Firmin Hurones took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 111th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jardel Falcão. Maraponga FAC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tibalt Tanasio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 115thth minute tested the skills of Jardel Falcão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With the score at 1-1, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.

Luiz Fernando Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 123rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zorion Arraña during the 124th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Zorion Arraña got a free kick in the 124th minute. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Pastor Gonta got his second yellow card of the match in the 127th minute. The referee ordered Pastor Gonta off the ground. In the 128th minute, Pastor Gonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 133rd minute, Tibalt Tanasio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Maraponga FAC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
