The throw-in from Dawid Wietrzychowski in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Despidida AFC's Gabriel Silban. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Ermengol Baena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawid Wietrzychowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Bosch in the 36th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermengol Baena made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Alvaro Raymond sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the game, Alvaro Raymond cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ermengol Baena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Alvaro Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermengol Baena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Raymond in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Gabriel Silban made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Dawid Wietrzychowski. If Franco Bosch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alvaro Raymond might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermengol Baena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience was convinced that Franco Bosch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Selatse was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Ermengol Baena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Velasco in the 64th minute of play. Ermengol Baena came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Dinu Ivănescu.
