Maximino Gipuzkoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Alpargatas FC's Daniel Ritchie got a free kick in the 21st minute. It was a well-played corner which Isidoro Sarmiento managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Schipor in the 30th minute of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Gagriel in the 35th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes Alpargatas FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Ritchie. In the 38th minute, one of Alpargatas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alpargatas FC. The referee gave Panama a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abraham Alguacil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alpargatas FC's Lucian Mitrofan. 1-1. Alpargatas FC's Lucian Mitrofan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Maximino Gipuzkoa charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Gipuzkoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Alpargatas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Gipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. Lucian Mitrofan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Mitrofan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Gipuzkoa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Alpargatas FC made a substitution. Herminio Su replaced Daniel Ritchie. In the 64th match minute, Alpargatas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Gipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Oscar Gagriel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpargatas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Dylan Sarmiento's late challenge caught a Alpargatas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylan Sarmiento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Dylan Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. That made the score 3-3 after 86 minutes of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alpargatas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Schipor in the 93rd minute of play. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
