The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 13 minutes into the match, Wrexham AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Bertin came free, but Pastor Roderigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Wrexham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Fraco. After having played for 18 minutes, Abel Uzuri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bendito Sea El Fernet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Uzuri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiburcio Ricart's late challenge caught a Bendito Sea El Fernet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiburcio Ricart helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wrexham AFC's Tiburcio Ricart got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Baldomiro Guerrero came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Bendito Sea El Fernet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Guerrero couldn't finish the play. After 25 minutes of play, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Jeronimo Bertin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pastor Roderigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Bendito Sea El Fernet getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Baldomiro Guerrero hit a great ball. Pastor Roderigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelino Olando's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute, Mario Tipi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Bernabe Suarez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bendito Sea El Fernet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wrexham AFC the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Bendito Sea El Fernet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Suarez to maneuver through the defense. The Wrexham AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bendito Sea El Fernet were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Bobadilla was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Abel Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bendito Sea El Fernet's Jeronimo Bertin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Uzuri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeronimo Bertin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Pastor Roderigo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wrexham AFC's goalkeeper Pastor Roderigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 70th play minutes Jeronimo Bertin shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Pastor Roderigo and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Charro during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute, Marcelo Charro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Baldomiro Guerrero from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Pastor Roderigo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Wrexham AFC's Pastor Roderigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Wrexham AFC from getting a goal against them. Pastor Roderigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeronimo Bertin in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Bertin in the 95th minute of play forced Wrexham AFC's goalkeeper Pastor Roderigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Wrexham AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bendito Sea El Fernet were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
