Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Suat Kaya took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Französisch Buchholz FC's Xavi Hernández got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Heimko Geisen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vergil Rupov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Genk's Lenny Vorster got control of the ball when Wincenty Rekawiczka tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Vergil Rupov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heimko Geisen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Suat Kaya in the 14th minute of play. Lenny Vorster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Clementi in the 22nd minute of play. Suat Kaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Französisch Buchholz FC were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Genk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Armin Kirchhoff took the corner. Heimko Geisen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Suat Kaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Französisch Buchholz FC's Heimko Geisen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Suat Kaya in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Französisch Buchholz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Suat Kaya came free, but Heimko Geisen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Suat Kaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Heimko Geisen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heimko Geisen came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Genk's Suat Kaya. But to his dismay, Suat Kaya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Französisch Buchholz FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Genk were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wincenty Rekawiczka was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Dé Velloso made a precise shot to the right of Lenny Vorster. Genk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Suat Kaya's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Heimko Geisen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Genk's Lenny Vorster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Velloso in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Armin Stöckl threw the ball into play from the sideline. Genk's 邵泉林 quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Suat Kaya might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heimko Geisen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Suat Kaya ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute Jeremias Clementi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny Vorster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Klemensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heimko Geisen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vergil Rupov in the 82nd minute of play forced Französisch Buchholz FC's goalkeeper Heimko Geisen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Französisch Buchholz FC's goalkeeper Heimko Geisen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Französisch Buchholz FC's goalkeeper Heimko Geisen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Suat Kaya.
