Reha Bartu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Klemensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Suat Kaya in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reha Bartu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reha Bartu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Suat Kaya's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes ALZELIT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 邵泉林 who took care of the corner kick. 邵泉林 made a great header on Genk's corner, it was just that ALZELIT's Reha Bartu managed to reach the ball for a save. Mauro Icardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jannes Van Leempoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 played minutes ALZELIT got a freekick which was hit by Tony Lopes. Jannes Van Leempoel made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Mauro Icardi sent off a good shot on target. The corner led to ALZELIT's 白明旭 getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 21 minutes, 白明旭 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ALZELIT and the Genk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reha Bartu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Suat Kaya's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 邵泉林 kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Suat Kaya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reha Bartu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Alexander Klemensson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reha Bartu. ALZELIT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Klemensson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Alexander Klemensson made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ALZELIT's Süreyya Türemen. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Icardi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tony Lopes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 51st minute of the match, Suat Kaya got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reha Bartu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fred Stutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, ALZELIT's Reha Bartu got control of the ball when Suat Kaya tried to sneak it across the goal line. Genk's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 邵泉林 in the 63rd minute. A nice corner shot did that 邵泉林 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Reha Bartu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Suat Kaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Genk's Suat Kaya ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Reha Bartu. Reha Bartu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Suat Kaya who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Reha Bartu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, ALZELIT's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Klemensson came free, but Reha Bartu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ALZELIT getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Tony Lopes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Vergil Rupov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genk's supporters rose to their feet, but Vergil Rupov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reha Bartu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fred Stutz might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jannes Van Leempoel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Stutz ran back to his position shaking his head. Reha Bartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vergil Rupov in the 82nd minute of play. Fred Stutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Suat Kaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute of the match, Suat Kaya got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reha Bartu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
