Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Madruga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhu Bin Yu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Club Atletico Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Cordara to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Zhu Bin Yu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wrexham AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zhu Bin Yu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Madruga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sérgio Madruga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhu Bin Yu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhu Bin Yu in the 32nd minute of play forced Club Atletico Talleres's goalkeeper Sérgio Madruga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wrexham AFC's Chen Fei Zhen was substituted for Remigio Marko. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desiderio Theobald to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Zhu Bin Yu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Madruga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 played minutes Wrexham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Mincho. Club Atletico Talleres made a substitution. Dimitrie Sluis replaced Benicio Abastas. 63 minutes into the match, Wrexham AFC's goalkeeper Aivo Lepisk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andy Corre. After 66 played minutes Club Atletico Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Cordara. In the 69th minute Desiderio Theobald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aivo Lepisk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Cordara made in the 70th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Angelo Umea. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Talleres's goalkeeper Sérgio Madruga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, Zhu Bin Yu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sérgio Madruga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Zhu Bin Yu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Wrexham AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhu Bin Yu couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Zhu Bin Yu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio Madruga was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 94th minute, Zhu Bin Yu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wrexham AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Wrexham AFC had won after a very even match.
