The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantin Aluneanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Gustavo in the 6th minute of play. Constantin Aluneanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Gustavo in the 9th minute of the match. When Douglas Gustavo came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Pragmáticos 1903 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Gustavo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Pragmáticos 1903's Gustavo Mazer got a free kick in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Horaţiu Bălace managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc S.Zaharesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Bălace was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arí Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fc S.Zaharesti's Constantin Aluneanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Gustavo in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Aanicăi in the 22nd minute of play forced Pragmáticos 1903's goalkeeper Arí Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fc S.Zaharesti getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nae Scripcaru hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Gustavo Mazer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pragmáticos 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Mazer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pragmáticos 1903's attentive Nilmar de Queirós managed to snatch the ball when Manuel Bălanescu made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. After 27 played minutes Fc S.Zaharesti got a freekick which was hit by Manole Firu. The supporters of Fc S.Zaharesti booed when Pragmáticos 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Gustavo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Gustavo ran back to his position shaking his head. Telmo Palmeira's late challenge caught a Fc S.Zaharesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Telmo Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. Telmo Palmeira hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Douglas Gustavo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Constantin Aluneanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Gustavo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fc S.Zaharesti's Liviu Săvescu got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 0-0. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.
The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Pragmáticos 1903's Telmo Palmeira started the play with his kick off. Douglas Gustavo might have been able to make a better finish in the 101st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Constantin Aluneanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Gustavo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Douglas Gustavo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 105th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilmar de Queirós during the 109th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 108th minute, one of Pragmáticos 1903:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pragmáticos 1903. 110 minutes into the game, Fc S.Zaharesti's Liviu Săvescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arí Sarmento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.
