Rolando Noboa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zula Wejta. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Tusk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Peru's Luz Tejedor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabian Tusk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in Rafineria Jasło's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Tusk came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute Urko Molina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urko Molina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urko Molina in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pancho Pancho in the 73rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 94th minute of the game 程傲悦 made a throw-in which Pancho Pancho played forward. Pancho Pancho hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
