Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With his leg Dante Lacasa managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Ćiro Immobile fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ćiro Immobile got free with Dante Lacasa in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The throw-in from Erwin Jankowsky in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ćiro Immobile to make the kick off. In the 50th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Pflügge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 51st match minute, Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdülhak Oyhan to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caspar Allendorf hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ćiro Immobile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ćiro Immobile came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caspar Allendorf hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Ferdinand Pflügge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Ćiro Immobile. But to his dismay, Ćiro Immobile quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 made a substitution. Ulryk Zachemski replaced Erwin Jankowsky. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ćiro Immobile in the 77th minute of play. When Ulryk Zachemski came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulryk Zachemski couldn't finish the play. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ferdinand Pflügge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caspar Allendorf kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Ulryk Zachemski hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdülhak Oyhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Pflügge came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 93 minutes into the match, Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's goalkeeper Ferdinand Pflügge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. A collision led to Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Caspar Allendorf hit a great ball. After 95 played minutes Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 got a freekick which was hit by Ćiro Immobile. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
