In the 8th minute Mauro Otsoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Gabino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes, Basilio Ferrando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EL COCO and the Vänge IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to EL COCO getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Basilio Ferrando hit a great ball. Emiliano Gabino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Giordani in the 18th minute of the match. Vänge IF were furious when Ernani Vargas was red carded, 19 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ernani Vargas hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aaron Jaume in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Hernando saved Vänge IF from getting behind. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vänge IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mateo Frechoso was slow to take the kick. During this time EL COCO's players had a chance to rest. Emiliano Gabino came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vänge IF's Danilo Markel. But to his dismay, Danilo Markel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind EL COCO's goalkeeper Emiliano Gabino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vänge IF were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after EL COCO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rune Aspengren took the corner. Vänge IF's Rune Aspengren was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emiliano Gabino in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to EL COCO getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Alberto Oliveiro hit a great ball. Emiliano Gabino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Otsoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Vänge IF's Mauro Otsoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emiliano Gabino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Markel in the 39th minute of play forced EL COCO's goalkeeper Emiliano Gabino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Arrigo Di Mattia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Otsoa struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Emiliano Gabino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vänge IF. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vänge IF's Zoltán Tálas was substituted for Rune Aspengren. Vänge IF made a substitution. Markus Albäck replaced Mauro Otsoa. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Markus Albäck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emiliano Gabino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Albäck in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Vänge IF's Markus Albäck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emiliano Gabino. Emiliano Gabino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 56th minute, Venancio Bernat made a precise shot to the right of Ciriaco Hernando. Vänge IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Markus Albäck was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 66 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's Markus Albäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Gabino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emiliano Gabino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Markus Albäck in the 68th minute. Aaron Jaume hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's Markus Albäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Gabino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Geva Lia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the EL COCO defense, Markus Albäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Gabino. The EL COCO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Gabino should have stopped the shot. Emiliano Gabino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markus Albäck's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Markus Albäck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Gabino. EL COCO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Markus Albäck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Emiliano Gabino came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vänge IF's Markus Albäck. But to his dismay, Markus Albäck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8.
