After 16 minutes Zielonka Gdansk's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lukasz Bejrut who took care of the corner kick. Lukasz Bejrut made a great header on Husaria Tarnów's corner, it was just that Zielonka Gdansk's Stefan Ciempa managed to reach the ball for a save. Robertas Lewandowski scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petrus Szczęsny, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lech Czaplicki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Stefan Ciempa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Zielonka Gdansk's Stefan Ciempa got control of the ball when Aleksander Penczkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lucjan Okraszewski fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zielonka Gdansk's protests and gave Lucjan Okraszewski a yellow card for diving instead. Lucjan Okraszewski hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Lech Czaplicki's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Stefan Ciempa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robertas Lewandowski was the one to do the kick off. In the 69th minute Lech Czaplicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Ciempa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucjan Okraszewski was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 70th match minute, Zielonka Gdansk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucjan Okraszewski to maneuver through the defense. Tobiasz Gdowik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petrus Szczęsny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Zielonka Gdansk getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Zachariasz Penczkowski hit a great ball. Zielonka Gdansk's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zachariasz Penczkowski in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Lech Czaplicki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Ciempa was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
