Madison's Severiano Rafe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Schuhmacher in the 35th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Madison's Hernan Uzuri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristian Minteuan. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. Benito Naldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Cristian Minteuan made a huge save. At last the ball reached Brahim Boutabout at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leo Schuhmacher to make the kick off.
