Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Breckenfeld in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Itapema's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Basílio Terra was slow to take the kick. During this time B-S-L's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Basílio Terra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Itapema's Vitório Massa did a great save. In the 22nd minute Basílio Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Terra in the 26th minute of play forced Itapema's goalkeeper Vitório Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Basílio Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot. B-S-L's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitório Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Adolfo Fontes in the 36th minute of play.
