When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Hudson Pires sped through Itapema's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vitório Massa. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Amos Maietta managed to get in a good position for a shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 102nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitório Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee ended the match the Royal Knights FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
