The supporters of Vae Victis!! booed when Pura Arte F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Motta got free with Rodrigo Vidal in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 minutes, Juninho Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vae Victis!! and the Pura Arte F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juninho Lopes hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Vae Victis!! defense, Marcel Barral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiago Gabriel Cabral. The Vae Victis!! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiago Gabriel Cabral should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Vae Victis!!'s Rodrigo Vidal threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vitório Pimenta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 48 minutes, Kaká Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pura Arte F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Vae Victis!! players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pura Arte F.C were winning 1-2.

Vae Victis!!'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Falcão Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After recieving a nice pass, Vae Victis!!'s Reginaldo Linares tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The long shot by Marcel Barral in the 76th minute really tested Tiago Gabriel Cabral's skills.
