Márcio Garcia started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Shark FC - FSCMZ's Jorginho Salles got a free kick in the 5th minute. Rodrigo Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Garcia in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Kaká Botelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Siqueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jorginho Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rodrigo Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaká Botelho got free with Ian Siqueira in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Diguinho Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Pimenta in the 28th minute of play forced Pura Arte F.C's goalkeeper Rodrigo Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pura Arte F.C's Frédson Paulista got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Shark FC - FSCMZ's Diguinho Velasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Vidal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ian Siqueira made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Kaká Botelho sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Shark FC - FSCMZ booed when Pura Arte F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Márcio Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Vidal was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Falcão Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. Dedé Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Vidal made a huge save. After 65 minutes, Luiz Fernando Zonta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shark FC - FSCMZ and the Pura Arte F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Shark FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márcio Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Dedé Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shark FC - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedé Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Vidal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frédson Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frédson Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Shark FC - FSCMZ's zone, Marcel Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Siqueira came out of the goal and Marcel Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fernando Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaká Botelho scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Siqueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pura Arte F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Shark FC - FSCMZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
