Vitório Massa came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Knights FC's Marcel Corrêa. But to his dismay, Marcel Corrêa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Manu Smets came free, but Vitório Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 15 played minutes Itapema got a freekick which was hit by Dito Trigo. 17 minutes into the game, Royal Knights FC's Carlos Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vitório Massa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Royal Knights FC booed when Itapema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes, Royal Knights FC's 蔡辉海 shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vitório Massa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Royal Knights FC reached it. Amos Maiettas short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Cristo Cordara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vitório Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manu Smets in the 25th minute of play. The throw-in from 蔡辉海 in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Itapema's Dito Trigo. José Augusto Pernambucano lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Itapema getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. José Augusto Pernambucano hit a great ball. Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Vitório Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Corrêa in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Pires came free, but Vitório Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Mauro Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Carlos Lima came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Royal Knights FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Lima couldn't finish the play. Vitório Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manu Smets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Lima was the one to do the kick off. Vitório Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manu Smets in the 54th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Royal Knights FC's Manu Smets slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vitório Massa. That made the score 0-4 after 56 minutes of play. 59 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Lima came free, but Vitório Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Amos Maietta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapema's supporters rose to their feet, but Amos Maietta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristo Cordara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Itapema's zone, Carlos Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitório Massa came out of the goal and Carlos Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the game, Royal Knights FC's Manu Smets nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The Royal Knights FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Dito Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cristo Cordara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manu Smets in the 89th minute of play forced Itapema's goalkeeper Vitório Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitório Massa made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Hudson Pires sent off a good shot on target. Vitório Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Cristian Salandri in the 96th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Itapema's Durvalino Carneiro. When Ricardo da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapema's protests and gave Ricardo da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Royal Knights FC booed when Itapema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Royal Knights FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
