But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Linares couldn't finish the play. José Maria Teixeira hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Vae Victis!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manu Smets got free with Tiago Gabriel Cabral in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28thth minute of the game Falcão Garcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Royal Knights FC's Cristo Cordara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hudson Pires got free with Tiago Gabriel Cabral in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiago Gabriel Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manu Smets, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A hard shot 31 in the game by Hudson Pires from a close distance when the talented Tiago Gabriel Cabral managed to make a qualified save. Vae Victis!!'s players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Pimenta in the 32nd minute of play forced Royal Knights FC's goalkeeper Cristo Cordara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes, Arne Röspel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Royal Knights FC and the Vae Victis!! players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Arne Röspel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hudson Pires came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Royal Knights FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hudson Pires couldn't finish the play. Tiago Gabriel Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manu Smets in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Vitório Pimenta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristo Cordara. Royal Knights FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório Pimenta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 50 played minutes, Royal Knights FC's Marcel Corrêa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiago Gabriel Cabral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Royal Knights FC reached it. In the 51st minute Hudson Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Gabriel Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manu Smets, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Cristo Cordara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Falcão Garcia in the 54th minute. José Maria Teixeira hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Vitório Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vae Victis!! made a substitution. Greg Moore replaced Falcão Garcia. Vae Victis!!'s Tiago Gabriel Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Lima in the 72nd minute of play. Cristo Cordara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Pires in the 83rd minute of play forced Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Tiago Gabriel Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Hudson Pires left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Knights FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 88 minutes into the match, Vae Victis!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Pires came free, but Tiago Gabriel Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Royal Knights FC got a freekick which was hit by Kane Richard. Vae Victis!!'s Reginaldo Linares shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cristo Cordara but with some difficulty. When the referee ended the match the Royal Knights FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
