The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zé Pedro Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Terra in the 5th minute of play. The JURIDIQUES F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Pedro Varela should have stopped the shot. Dorival Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Zé Pedro Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Pedro Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Breckenfeld went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute of the match Belmiro Abreu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Pedro Varela showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Basílio Terra notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of JURIDIQUES F.C's Zé Pedro Varela. Zé Pedro Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When João Adolfo Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored B-S-L's protests and gave João Adolfo Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. Jefferson Barreto's late challenge caught a B-S-L's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, B-S-L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Abreu to maneuver through the defense. The B-S-L fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After 85 played minutes B-S-L got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Terra. After a rather tough play, JURIDIQUES F.C's Miguel Pombal got a free kick in the 86th minute. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, João Adolfo Fontes put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Zé Pedro Varela. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Basílio Terra took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Zé Pedro Varela to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over B-S-L could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than JURIDIQUES F.C throughout the match.
