Ferreirinha Vinhas started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Olímpico Blumenau FC booed when Alfa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 15th minute Angelo Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferreirinha Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Glauco Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrinho de Queirós came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Olímpico Blumenau FC's Angelo Cunha. But to his dismay, Angelo Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Iuri Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Caco Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferreirinha Vinhas in the 41st minute of the match. Dinei Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho de Queirós having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 51 minutes, Angelo Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olímpico Blumenau FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angelo Cunha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Pedrinho de Queirós when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maurício de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfa FC's Pedrinho de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Cunha in the 63rd minute of play. Ferreirinha Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Olímpico Blumenau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferreirinha Vinhas came free, but Caco Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Olímpico Blumenau FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Glauco Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Pedrinho de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Alfa FC got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Godoi. A hard shot 76 in the game by Angelo Cunha from a close distance when the talented Pedrinho de Queirós managed to make a qualified save. Alfa FC's players were relieved. In the 76th match minute, Alfa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Varela to maneuver through the defense. Caco Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício de Lara in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when Olímpico Blumenau FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caco Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferreirinha Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Dieguinho Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olímpico Blumenau FC's protests and gave Dieguinho Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. Dieguinho Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Caco Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, Olímpico Blumenau FC's Glauco Vander got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Alfa FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Olímpico Blumenau FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Olímpico Blumenau FC.
