Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Vitório Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Cunha in the 4th minute of the match. In the 6th minute Amos Maietta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caco Furlan came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Itapema's Amos Maietta. But to his dismay, Amos Maietta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Durvalino Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caco Furlan. Olímpico Blumenau FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durvalino Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Amos Maietta took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caco Furlan. Caco Furlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 23 minutes into the match, Amos Maietta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caco Furlan. Olímpico Blumenau FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amos Maietta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Vitório Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Vander in the 26th minute of the match. Olímpico Blumenau FC's Caco Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Maietta in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Olímpico Blumenau FC's Dieguinho Magalhães got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Alessandro Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Furlan having to interfere. Amos Maietta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amos Maietta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Itapema's Magno Saldanha managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mário de Amaral in the 52 minute of the game. In the 55th minute, Itapema's Amos Maietta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Caco Furlan. Caco Furlan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. In the 60th minute, Angelo Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitório Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Glauco Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dito Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Olímpico Blumenau FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Souza to maneuver through the defense. Vitório Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Souza in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Olímpico Blumenau FC's goalkeeper Caco Furlan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dito Trigo. Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Magalhães in the 79th minute of play. Vitório Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glauco Vander went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Cardoso in the 86th minute of play forced Olímpico Blumenau FC's goalkeeper Caco Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th match minute, Olímpico Blumenau FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Caco Furlan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 88th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marco Falcão. Caco Furlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amos Maietta in the 89th minute.
