In the 12th minute Zé Joinvilense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wellington Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Joinville Esporte Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Thiago Machado scored to the left of an out of position Wellington Montenegro, making the score, 2-0. 16 minutes into the game, Thiago Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Wellington Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alvaro Rudolfo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorian do Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 32 minutes into the game, Geovanni Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coritiba Foot Ball Club the free kick. Geovanni Leite hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Thiago Machado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wellington Montenegro. The goal made the score 4-0. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Jonas Velloso got a free kick in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Gonçalo Catarinense got a free kick in the 40th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Machado came free, but Wellington Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Thiago Machado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wellington Montenegro, 5-0. Thiago Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Zé Joinvilense made the kick off in the second half. Wellington Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago Machado went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. 55 minutes into the match, Marquez Padolles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wellington Montenegro. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marquez Padolles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 58 minutes into the game, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wellington Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Marquez Padolles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Montenegro having to interfere. Marquez Padolles struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Wellington Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coritiba Foot Ball Club. Wellington Montenegro came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Evaristo Montenegro. But to his dismay, Evaristo Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. 76 minutes into the game, Marquez Padolles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Wellington Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81stth minute of the game Fausto Romero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thor Machado in the 82nd minute. Wellington Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Romero went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 12-0 was the resulting score. Wellington Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Romero in the 91st minute of play. Fausto Romero scored 13-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wellington Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fausto Romero scored 14-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wellington Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Coritiba Foot Ball Club had played much better football throughout.
