Joaquim Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Paraíba having to interfere. Froilan Dolcet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco da Cunha in the 13th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Jumeuc Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Saldanha. Teodoro Santana's late challenge caught a Jumeuc Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Santana helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Teodoro Santana got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Hamilton Luis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Froilan Dolcet was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Emerson Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Túlio Geniatulin.
