Castanheiro SC were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Jurassic Monsters SA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Célio Pena took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Célio Pena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Denílson Azevedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 18 minutes, Kauan Rezende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castanheiro SC and the Jurassic Monsters SA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Denílson Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Jurassic Monsters SA's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Mandrak came free, but Denílson Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Jurassic Monsters SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Trancoso in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denílson Azevedo saved Jurassic Monsters SA from getting behind. Richard Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Jurassic Monsters SA got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Mendes.

Jurassic Monsters SA's Denílson Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Jurassic Monsters SA from getting a goal against them. Denílson Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Trancoso in the 58th minute of the match. Denílson Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jeferson Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Azevedo having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 97th minute of the game. One of Jurassic Monsters SA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Castanheiro SC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 99 minutes, Castanheiro SC's Célio Pena got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Denílson Azevedo. The Castanheiro SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Castanheiro SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
